LOVE IS LOVE. Love is for EVERYONE. I think love is one of the greatest things to happen to a person's life. Experiencing love is something that is inclusive. For all. No one should ever be deprived of such a beautiful experience. We are all humans, deserving to live in love & pride.

For those of you unfamiliar with the current LGBTIQA+ acronym, it stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual & many other terms; such as non-binary & pansexual.

This beautiful community champions the message of LOVE IS LOVE. Celebrating the diversity of sexuality & gender identity-based cultures. Being part of this community is to be accepting of all, whether you identify to the LGBTIQA+ labels, or are an ally. It is also about speaking up & fighting for their rights.

Please take a look at the resources below, to learn more & support this global community.

Another great charity, which is a mental health resource for LGBT+ people, is LGBT Foundation.

LGBT Foundation is a national UK charity delivering advice, support and information to LGBT+ communities.

Services and activities include a range of support groups, counselling, helpline, email and pop-in service, befriending scheme, sexual health programme, substance-misuse project, organisational training, and a range of guides and resources.

UK mental health charity Mind has a specific section for LGBTQ people, where you can access information about mental health support.

Mind’s page on mental health and being LGBTQ+ reads:

Those of us who identify as LGBTQ+ are more likely to experience a mental health problem than the wider population.

This is because LGBTQ+ people experience bullying, rejection, stigma and discrimination which too often lead to low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and isolation.

Mind is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. But we know that those of us with LGBTIQ+ identities may face extra challenges around getting the right support. And we sometimes have extra needs or concerns.

The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) is a worldwide federation, which has been campaigning for LGBT+ rights in 152 countries since 1978.

Donations are vital for the international trust to continue helping persecuted LGBT communities.

Stonewall is a LGBT rights charity named after the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City’s Greenwich Village.

The charity’s mission is to “let all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, here and abroad, know they’re not alone.”

They aim to empower individuals and to change and protect laws.

LGBT+ charity aiming to “empower young people to be role models championing LGBT+ equality at school and work.”
